Bio: My father was a working jazz drummer in England and Victoria from the 1940s to roughly the 1970s. In 1973, when I was about 13, my father taught me to play drums. I played in a few bands as a young adult during the 70s and 80s. In the late 90s, I took an introductory jazz drumming course and started taking summer jazz workshops held at the Victoria Conservatory of Music as well as summer jazz workshops at Malaspina University College. At this point, I began playing regularly in working/performing bands. I play many styles of music including Jazz, Rock, Blues, Country, Latin, Funk and Praise Music.
Bands I have played with include:
-Ricochet ( Heavy Rock)
-Joyce and the Blades (Rock)
-Four (Jazz Standards)
-Panorama Jazz Quartet (Jazz Standards)
-Wharf Street Band (Blues and Classic Rock)
-Pacific Standard Time (Jazz Band)
-Lindsay Barber Quartet (Vocal-Oriented Jazz)
