Event Description
Got a sense of humour? Love making people laugh? Give stand up comedy a try. This fun and challenging 7 week workshop is a great place to get started - even if you are slightly terrified.
Learn how to write and perform original stand-up comedy from a seasoned professional. Kirsten Van Ritzen is an encouraging teacher who shares her love of the craft and years of experience. She has taught hundreds of people - from all walks of life and all ages. Many have gone on to host their own shows, win comedy competitions, and appear on television. The workshop has been described as “inspiring”, “life changing” and “a weekly date with laughter.”
* This session runs 7 Thursdays 7-9pm Oct. 27 to Dec. 8.
Participants have the option of performing in the 6th annual Ho Ho Ho Show on Sunday Dec. 11 at Yuk Yuk’s
No prep or experience needed - just bring an old-school paper notebook and a pen.
