CLOSE UP is an intimate, unfiltered dance show about the moments that bring us closer. Whether it’s the electricity of physical connection, or the warmth of lifelong friendship - Close Up explores the alluring vulnerability of getting up close and personal. Watching these performances feels like flipping through polaroids you discovered in a box backstage - nostalgic, captivating, and authentic snapshots of the life of a heels dancer. So grab a glass, take your seat, and let Company 20/21 invite you into their story.
ABOUT LUMINESQUE DANCE
Luminesque Dance is the heels dance program and show, guaranteed to make you glow! Our mission is to provide expertly-designed heels dance training and performances that celebrate expressions of self and sexuality. Luminesque Company (who you see on stage!) is a dedicated group of dancers who train and perform together all year, and serve as leaders in our larger community. Our programs are hosted by Glow Studios Inc, which has studios located on the unceded territories of the Coast Salish Peoples at 1026 Davie St above Celebrities Nightclub and 38161 2nd Ave in Squamish - and is soon coming to Victoria! Classes are open to dancers of all adult (19+) ages, gender expressions and levels of experience - including those who have never taken a dance class before! Learn more at luminesquedance.com.

We acknowledge the rich cultural history of the many peoples and rituals that have been affected by the ongoing process of dispossession and colonialism. We hold this understanding in our interactions and engagements with this land and its people.
