Event Description

Dave Gunning is a luminary in Canadian folk music. Deeply inspired by legends Stan Rogers and Gordon Lightfoot, Gunning’s journey showcases his talent for blending melodic sincerity with compelling storytelling. Dave Gunning’s ability to blend humor with poignancy makes his performances unforgettable, creating a warm and intimate atmosphere for his audience.

Gunning’s latest release “The Same Storm” (2022), written and recorded during the pandemic, continues his tradition of celebrating everyday moments and giving voice to the overlooked. His journey from Pictou County, Nova Scotia, to stages worldwide is a testament to his talent, hard work, and dedication to his craft.

Over his career, Gunning has received 10 East Coast Music Awards, 2 Canadian Folk Music Awards, 4 Music Nova Scotia Awards, and a JUNO nomination.
